Five fire engines and around 30 firefighters attended a fire at a hotel near Station Road in Hayes.
Part of a room on the third floor was damaged by fire. The building was evacuated before firefighters arrived. One person was taken to hospital as a precaution to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The Brigade received the first of eight calls at 1602 and Control Officers mobilised crews from Heathrow, Feltham, Chiswick, Hillingdon and Southall fire stations to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 1719.
The fire is being treated as accidental and is believed to have been caused by the overheating of cooking oil.
