Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a small fire at a hospital on Fulham Road in Chelsea.

Part of a plant room in the basement was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade’s Control Officers took the first of three calls to the fire at 2153 and sent crews from Chelsea, Battersea, Clapham and Wandsworth fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 0016.

The fire is believed to have been accidental and caused by a fault within a heat pump.
