Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire at a derelict building on Troopers Drive in Romford.
Part of the ground floor and a small part of the second floor and roof of the building were damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade’s Control Officers took the first of 11 calls to the fire at 1340 and sent crews from Harold Hill, Romford, Hornchurch, Dagenham, Hainault and Wennington fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 1511.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
