Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a waste recycling warehouse on Gibbs Road in Edmonton.
Part of an internal shredder and a small part of a conveyor belt were damaged by the fire. Around 30 people left the building before the Brigade arrived. There have been no reports of any injuries.
Control Officers took the call at 1156 and mobilised crews from Tottenham, Chingford, Walthamstow and Southgate fire stations to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 1319.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
