Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at an office block on Embankment Place in Soho.
A small part of an external roof on the eighth floor was damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
Control Officers took the call at 0120 and mobilised firefighters from Soho, Lambeth, Shoreditch and Dockhead fire stations to the scene. The incident was over for firefighters at 0249.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
