Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters responded to a fire on Drury Lane. 

The fire was located in an underground car park. A storeroom on the fourth level of the car park was destroyed by the fire. Over 1000 people were evacuated from a nearby building as a precaution as crews responded. There are no reports of any injuries. 

The Brigade was first called about the incident at 1610, and crews had the fire under control by 1728. Crews from Soho, Paddington, Dowgate and surrounding fire stations attended the scene. 

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
