Fifteen fire engines and around 100 firefighters tackled a fire at a restaurant and industrial warehouse on Coronation Road in Park Royal.

The roof and first floor of a two-storey restaurant and warehouse were destroyed by the fire. Half of the ground floor and a small part of some neighbouring units were damaged by the fire. There have been no injuries reported.

Firefighters deployed a Hose Layer and High Volume Pump as part of their response, increasing the amount of water available for firefighting operations. A 32-metre turntable ladder was used as a water tower to help extinguish the fire from above.

The Brigade received the first of 21 calls to report the fire at 0345, and fire engines Park Royal, Acton, Willesden, Wembley and surrounding fire stations were mobilised to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 0829.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
