Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire a terraced house on Barclay Road in Edmonton.
Half of the first floor was damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The fire is believed to have been accidental and was caused by an iron being left on.
Control Officers took the first of two calls at 1725 and mobilised firefighters from Tottenham and Edmonton fire stations to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 1807.
