Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a flat fire on Pembridge Square in Notting Hill.
Part of a studio flat on the ground floor was damaged by fire and a sash window box between the ground and second floors of the building was also damaged. Twelve people left the building before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
One of the Brigade's 32-metre turntable ladders was used as an observation platform, providing Incident Commanders with an aerial view of the incident.
The Brigade's Control Officers took the first call to the fire at 0919 and mobilised crews from Kensington, North Kensington and Paddington fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 1050.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
