Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters attended a fire at a house that has been converted into flats on Cresswell Road in East Twickenham.
A ground floor flat was destroyed by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1833 and Control Officers mobilised crews from Richmond, Kingston, Hillingdon and Chiswick fire stations to the scene. The fire was brought under control by 1922
The fire is believed to have been caused by combustible items placed too close to a heat source.
