Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a block of flats on Hazel Grove in Forest Hill.
A small part of a communal corridor on the sixth floor was damaged by fire in the seven storey block.
The Brigade's 999 Control officers received the first call alerting them to the fire at 1912. They deployed crews from Forest Hill, West Norwood and Bromley fire stations. The fire was under control by 2008.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade's fire investigators and the Met police.
