Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters attended a fire on Hawstead Lane in Orpington.
The fire involved around 30 tonnes of waste in a field. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade received the first of 12 calls at 1406 and Control Officers mobilised crews from Orpington, Bromley and Biggin Hill fire stations to the scene. Kent Fire & Rescue Service also attended. The fire was brought under control by 1534.
