Firefighters have been working alongside partners following a burst water main that has caused flooding in the Kenton Lane area of Stanmore.

Crews have worked hard to protect residential and commercial properties from standing water and to help redirect floodwater.

Whilst water levels have now reduced significantly, the Brigade will continue to work at the scene this evening.

Kenton has been closed to traffic between The Highway and College Hill Road. People are advised to continue to avoid the area at this time.

The Brigade was called at 1632 and two fire engines from Stanmore Fire Station have been at the scene. An Operational Support Unit has also been assisting.
