Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a shop with flats above on Ashfield Parade in Southgate.
Part of a single-storey extension at the rear of a shop was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade’s Control Officers took the first of two calls to the fire at 1034 and sent crews from Barnet, Edmonton, Finchley and Hornsey fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 1150.
The fire is believed to have been accidental and caused by hot works being carried out.
