A woman has sadly died following a house fire on Bath Close in Peckham.
Part of the second floor of a mid-terraced house was damaged by fire. Three women were treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews and two of them were taken to hospital, where one later died.
The Brigade’s Control Officers took the first of 22 calls to the fire at 2200 and sent crews from Peckham, New Cross, Greenwich, Brixton and surrounding fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 2314.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
