Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters attended a fire on Horselydown Lane in Southwark.
Part of a flat, which spanned over the third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors of a mixed-use building, was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade received the first of three calls at 2223 and Control Officers mobilised crews from Dockhead, Whitechapel, Dowgate. Shadwell, Shoreditch and Bethnal Green fire stations to the scene.
A turntable ladder from Old Kent Road Fire Station also attended and was deployed as an observation tower, providing the Incident Commander with a greater situational awareness of the incident.
The fire was brought under control by 2347.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
