Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters attended a fire on Ainsley Close in Edmonton.
Most of a second-floor flat was damaged by fire. Part of the roof of the three-storey building was also damaged. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1810 and Control Officers mobilised crews from Edmonton, Tottenham, Enfield and Southgate fire stations to the scene. A 32-metre turntable ladder from Tottenham Fire Station also attended. The fire was extinguished by 1904.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and Metropolitan Police.
