Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a dry cleaners on Old Kent Road in Southwark.
Part of the ground floor was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade’s Control Officers were called at 1528 and mobilised crews from Dowgate, Dockhead, Old Kent Road and Deptford fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 1642.
The fire is believed to have been accidental and caused by an overheated steam boiler pipe.
