Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire involving outbuildings on The Drive in Chislehurst.
The whole of a single-storey detached double garage was destroyed and the roof subsequently collapsed. Most of a summer house was also damaged by fire, alongside part of a double garage in a neighbouring house and a row of trees. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade’s Control Officers took the first of 13 calls to the fire at 1538 and mobilised crews from Orpington, Sidcup and Bromley fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 1707.
The fire is believed to have been accidental and caused by hot works being carried out.
