Firefighters were called to a fire at a house on Edith Grove in Chelsea.
Part of a lower-ground floor in a four-storey house was damaged by fire. One woman and two children were rescued from the roof by firefighters via a 13.5 metre ladder. They were all taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The Brigade was called at 0342 and Control Officers mobilised three fire engines from Chelsea, Fulham and Kensington fire stations to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 0448.
The fire is believed to have been caused by textiles left on a gas hob.
