Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a block of flats on Queens Club Gardens in Fulham.

Part of a three roomed flat on the first floor of the four storey building was damaged by the fire. One person left the building before the Brigade arrived and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.

The fire is believed to have been accidental and was caused by a halogen lamp left too close to combustible items.

The Brigade was called at 1727 and Control Officers mobilised crews from Fulham, Hammersmith, Kensington and Chelsea fire stations to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 1838.
