Sadly a woman has died following a fire at a flat on Thomas Baines Road in Wandsworth.
Part of a ground floor flat was damaged by fire. A woman was rescued from the flat by firefighters before being taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service. She sadly passed away on Saturday (10 May).
The Brigade was called at 0539 and Control Officers mobilised crews from Battersea, Wandsworth and Clapham fire stations to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 0638.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
