Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a grass fire in Beam Country Park, Western Avenue in Dagenham.
Approximately two hectares of grass undergrowth and railway embankment were destroyed by fire.
The Brigade was called at 1535 and the fire was under control at 1837. Fire crews from Dagenham, Barking, Ilford and Hornchurch fire stations attended the scene.
