Firefighters led an older man to safety following a small flat fire on Nine Elms Lane in Vauxhall. The fire in the first floor flat was extinguished before the Brigade arrived.
The man was escorted via an internal staircase. He was suffering from smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 1948 and the fire was under control by 2017. Fire crews from Lambeth and Clapham fire stations were at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
