Westminster
House or flat fire

Five fire engines and around 35 firefighters were called to a fire at a flat on Prince Albert Road in St John’s Wood.

Half of a six roomed flat on the fifth floor was damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called at 1712 and the fire was under control by 1831. Fire crews from Paddington, Euston, West Hampstead and Kentish Town fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is believed to have involved a wine chiller.
