Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house in Chantrey Road in Brixton.
Part of the roof of the three-storey house was damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 1248 and the fire was under control at 1408. Fire crews fro, Brixton, Peckham, Lambeth and West Norwood fire stations attended the scene.
The fire is believed to be accidental and caused by hot works.
