Sadly a man has died in a flat fire on Finborough Road in West Brompton.
Half of the ground floor flat was damaged by fire.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus discovered the man in the flat and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Brigade was called at 0019 and the fire was under control by 0127. Two fire engines and around 10 firefighters from Fulham and Chelsea fire stations attended the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and by the Metropolitan Police Service.
