Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house on Oakmead Gardens in Edgware.
Around half of an extension was damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 0841 and the fire was under control at 1002. Fire crews from Mill Hill and Stanmore fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
