Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house in Victoria Park Road, Hackney.
The ground and first floors were destroyed by fire. Part of the second floor and part of the roof were also damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 0247 and the fire was under control at 0529. Fire crews from Bethnal Green, Homerton and Whitechapel fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
