A woman and two children were rescued after a fire broke out in a flat on Hastings Road in Canning Town, E16, on Saturday morning. The fire was very minor and a small part of the kitchen was damaged.
The Brigade was called at 0920 and the fire was under control by 0959.
Three fire engines and 15 firefighters and officers from Plaistow, East Ham, and Poplar fire stations attended the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
