Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a shed fire on Birkhall Road in Catford.

A shed and a greenhouse were destroyed by fire. The blaze also damaged a number of garden fences, and a brick-built shed.

The Brigade's 999 control officers took 20 calls about this incident. Two propane cylinders were involved in the fire. Firefighters cooled and removed them as some cylinders can explode when exposed to heat.

The Brigade was called at 1413 and the fire was under control at 1606. Fire crews from Lewisham, Greenwich, Lee Green, and Forest Hill fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is accidental.
