Hackney - houseboat flooding

Three fire engines, two fire rescue units and around 20 firefighters and officers were called to a flooded houseboat in Marlborough Avenue, Hackney.

A houseboat moored on Regents Canal was flooded to a depth of 50cm.

Firefighters used specialist equipment, including a portable pump, to remove the water.

The Brigade was called at 0224 and the incident was over for firefighters at 0407. Fire crews from Bethnal Green, Shoreditch, Homerton and Euston fire stations attended the scene.
