Two fire engines and 10 firefighters were called to a fire at a house conversion in Dunfield Road, Beckenham.
A small part of a ground floor flat was damaged by fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued one woman from the ground floor flat. She was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service crews. Another woman left the building before the arrival of the Brigade.
The Brigade was called at 1138 and the fire was under control at 1214. Fire crews from Forest Hill and Beckenham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
