House or flat fire

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a mid-terraced house on de Vere Gardens in Ilford.

Half of the first floor was damaged by fire. A small part of the loft space was also damaged by the blaze. No one was in at the time of the fire. The Brigade was called at 1635 and the fire was under control at 1723. Fire crews from Shadwell, Stratford, East Ham, and Barking fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is believed to accidental.
