Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters attended a fire at a landfill site on Launders Lane in Rainham.
Approximately two hectares of wasteland was impacted, with firefighters tackling multiple hotspots. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 2143 and the fire was under control by 0004. Fire crews from Wennington, Dagenham and Hornchurch fire stations attended the scene.
