Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were called to a fire at a maisonette above a shop on Yiewsley High Street in West Drayton.
The fire started under the stairs of a split level maisonette. The first and second floors and the roof of the building were destroyed by fire. Part of the roof of an adjacent end of terrace shop with flats above was also damaged in the blaze. Seven adults and four children left the buildings before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 2345 and the fire was under control by 0300. Fire crews from Hillington, Hayes, Heathrow, Southall, Feltham, Ruislip and Heston fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
