Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a restaurant with flats above on Priory Road in Hornsey.
The kitchen of the ground floor restaurant and the external ventilation shaft were destroyed by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1506 and the fire was under control by 1537. Fire crews from Hornsey, Holloway and Finchley fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
