Firefighters were called to reports of a collapsed roof on The Crescent in Hayes.
Part of a chimney collapsed and fell through the roof into a flat on the first floor. Firefighters rescued one man from the first floor via an external staircase. He was treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 1233 and the incident was over for firefighters by 1331.
