Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a supermarket and basement car park on Vernon Road in Bow.
Part of the basement car park was damaged by the fire. Around 120 staff and customers left the supermarket before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1633 and the fire was under control by 1758. Fire crews from Bethnal Green, Homerton and Poplar fire stations were at the scene.
