Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a terraced house on Kyverdale Road, Stamford Hill.
Part of the ground and first floor was damaged by the blaze. Smoke alarms were fitted in the house and alerted the family who were able to evacuate the building before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1418 and the fire was under control by 1514. Fire crews from Stoke Newington, Tottenham and Homerton attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
