A man has sadly died after following a fire at a house on Woodbrook Road in Plumstead.
Firefighters were called to a small fire on the ground floor of a mid-terraced house. One man was treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews and taken to hospital, where he sadly died.
The Brigade was called at 2039 and the fire was under control by 2122. Two fire engines and around 10 firefighters from Plumstead fire station attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
