Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued a man from a house fire in Hobart Road in Hayes.
Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters attended the blaze. Part of the ground floor of the house was damaged.
The man was rescued from the ground floor and taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 0014 and the fire was under control by 0047. Fire crews from Southall and Hillingdon fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
