Flat fire - Brockley

Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters were called to a fire at a terraced house converted into flats on Manor Avenue in Brockley.

Part of a three roomed flat on the third floor of the building was damaged by fire. One man was rescued by a police officer before the Brigade arrived and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews. Another person was treated on scene for smoke inhalation.

The Brigade was called at 0147 and the fire was under control by 0244. Fire crews from Greenwich, New Cross and Lewisham fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
