A man has died following a house fire on Burntwood Lane in Earlsfield.
Firefighters found the man in a ground floor bedroom. He was brought out of the property by fire crews but sadly he died at the scene.
Part of the ground floor was damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 0736 and the fire was under control by 0833. Firefighters from Tooting, Wandsworth and Wimbledon fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
