Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house on Park Grove Road in Leytonstone.
The whole of the first floor and half of a ground floor was damaged by fire. A woman left the property before the Brigade arrived. She was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 1556 and the fire was under control by 1706. Fire crews from Leytonstone, Leyton, Stratford and Homerton fire stations are at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
