House or flat fire

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at a range of purpose built flats and terraced houses on Ammanford Green in Colindale.

A first floor studio flat was destroyed by the fire and most of the roof was damaged. Part of the roof and first floor of a mid-terraced house were also damaged. Sadly, firefighters found a deceased dog in the flat. There were no other reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called at 1654 and the fire was under control by 1912. Fire crews from Hendon, Stanmore, Mill Hill and West Hampstead fire station attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
