London Bridge terror incident

London Fire Brigade were called at 1415 to an incident at London Bridge.

Deputy Commissioner and Director of Operations Assistant Commissioner for London Fire Brigade Andy Roe said:

“Our thoughts today are with all of those affected by the terrorist incident at London Bridge.

“London Fire Brigade officers were deployed to assist police and other emergency service colleagues at London Bridge.

“We train alongside our emergency service partners to be ready for this kind of emergency and will continue to remain alert and prepared to respond.”

At the height of the incident, and in addition to the specially trained officers attending, six fire engines, a command unit and 30 firefighters were positioned at the scene to assist.

The investigation is being led by the Counter Terrorism Command.
