Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a shop with flats above on Putney High Street.
Part of a three-roomed flat on the first floor was damaged by the fire. Two women were taken to hospital suffering smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 2244 and the fire was under control by 2339. Fire crews from Wandsworth, Fulham, Chelsea and Hammersmith fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
