Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a takeaway restaurant in London Road in Isleworth.
Part of the ground floor was damaged by fire.
Six people left the flats above the takeaway restaurant before the arrival of the Brigade. One person was treated for smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 0247 and the fire was under control at 0404. Fire crews from Heston and Feltham attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
