Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a shop with basement in Camberwell Church Street in Camberwell.
Part of the basement of the shop was damaged by fire.
The Brigade was called at 2144 and the fire was under control at 2304. Fire crews from Peckham, Brixton and New Cross fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
